Profile Information

Real Name:
Ricky Birtles
Occupation:
Freelance webserver/application pentester
Description:
I am working towards getting a degree in "computer and network engineering", also just need to take my final exam an I will be CCNA qualified. Like to do security audits on web servers and applications. Will not say I know everything or as much as some of the people on here but I know enough to do freelance pentests.

Have a few ideas in my head found a few things in my time. What it all comes down to though is my want for learning.

Now in the news there have been many cases where big university's have had there network integrity compromised on large scales. Through diffe…

We need to sort out inactive users and groups. So next week on the 16th August I will arrange for a clean out o…

we all often make simple mistakes, some of which can be exploited. Just wondered what the most common stupid mistakes were such as not validating logins on sensitive pages, sql injection, etc.

Since you are into security auditing I would assume you know these better than I (since I build websites)
